Agricultural Industrialization Strategy

TACCIMA’s actionable strategy for Agricultural Industrialization aims to mechanize agriculture and integrate farmers into industrial processing trade zones. This initiative is designed to improve efficiency and drastically reduce post-harvest losses—currently estimated at 50%—which are often caused by inadequate storage technology. By implementing these processing solutions, the Chamber seeks to add significant value to agricultural products.

Aim and Objectives

The primary objective is to enhance agricultural yields and facilitate a shift from raw commodity exports to processing and packaging for both domestic and export markets.

Implementation

TACCIMA seeks collaborative partnerships with technologically advanced countries, regions, and institutions. By leveraging technology solutions for Taraba’s agriculture, the initiative aims to radically improve the sector's productivity and value chain.

Impact

To achieve food security and generate revenue through export inflows, thereby driving economic growth and boosting the State's GDP.
